Summary :
Yukiya Ayase is a guarantor/co-signer of his only cousin, Tetsuo Ishii.
Ishii borrows so much money but he bilked it of a debt.
Then Ayase should be dealt by "slave trade" and Kanou, a head of financing firm buys Ayase. Kanou has a certain hidden reason to love Ayase when he was a student. Not knowing the reason, Ayase refuses sex with Kanou, then Kanou gets angry and orders Ayase to pay back by sex...
but typical yaoi story (Kanou is cool seme who is a cruel moneylender and loses human warm mind because he had not been loved by his family and Ayase is typical weak & weepy uke like small animal with & poor/miserable destiny) more acceptable.

Summary:
Eisuke Yoshino is a new recruit of systems development corporation. During over time, senior employees make him go to the convenience store to buy sweet buns. Yoshino finds an unexpected temporary employee among the people who scramble for the buns. He is Kouzou Oniduka, a senior student of badminton club when they were high school students. Yoshino carelessly came out to the members of the club and was scolded by Oniduka whom he had adored. Oniduka looked after him very much but Yoshino pushed him down from the stairs by accident and transferred the school without apology. Yoshino realizes he still keeps loving Oniduka. In the office room, they are left alone. Oniduka confesses his mind to Yoshino, "I was dumped by you then but if you have no lover, would you go out with me?" They become a couple just before the expire of Oniduka's temporary hiring. But asking about the future plan by Oniduka, Yoshino misunderstands that Oniduka wants practical-type relationship and they are not getting along. Oniduka and Yoshino meet up face to face with a guy who was a friend of Yoshino at college and was an ex-lover of Oniduka who hurt him seriously. The term of Yoshino and Oniduka becomes more darkle. Oniduka goes to the other company but Yoshino ventures into the company not to lose him...

Banana Fish is a shoujo manga series that ran from 1985 to 1994 in the magazine Bessatsu Shoujo Comic, is widely credited as "revolutionizing" the shoujo genre to include more mature, adult themes, and to win a large male crossover audience. Banana Fish certainly was not the first manga to include the genre stereotypes of hot, angsty bishounen and steamy boy-on-boy sexuality that we still see in more adult-oriented shoujo titles today. But it was among the first to marry pretty-boy bishounen with a simple, action-oriented style of artwork and a hard-boiled, violence-filled plot. Basically, it's not for kids. ^^ But the backbone of the story is really the same basic themes that can be found in any shoujo series - friendship, loyalty, trust, sacrifice, believing in yourself, and facing your fears.
